The Sauna Project is a timber, hollow sculpture, installed as a complementary feature in the exterior of the Wooden Cave.

Following the same design and manufacturing strategy as Wooden Cave, Sauna consists of layered modules of solid spruce.
Despite its smaller scale, the project presented interesting challenges, being load bearing and having a sculptural approach in both the interior and the exterior. The modules were assembled in rough cuts and then the Sauna was hand curved in Tenon's workshop.
